Deep Processes Chair

Dear Colleagues:
The term of Mauro Taiuti's chair of the Deep Processes Physics
Working Group
is coming to a close. Latifa and I were asked to identify a suitable
successor
to Mauro. To this effect we made several inquiries about who would
be the
best choice. Out of the several names which were considered we concluded
that Sebastian Kuhn would ideally fit the requirements for this role.
Sebastian
is one of the most knowledgeable JLab users in the subject of deep
processes.
He also has always played a very central role in the CLAS deep
processes program
with, for example the generalized GDH experiments, and more recently
BONUS.
Sebastian is also one of the rare collaborators who seems to read
every manuscript
before submission for publication. Another positive aspect is that
Sebastian's
home location, ODU, allows him to be frequently on site at JLab, and
thus
more aware of the evolving issues within JLab and CLAS in particular.
Latifa and I hope that you are as enthusiastic as we are about
the possibility of
Sebastian becoming the next Deep Processes chair, and ask you to vote
either affirmative or negative. Please send your vote to
latifa@jlab.org.
             Best regards,
             Paul
