Dear members of the Deep Processes PWG (and those who are interested in
Deep Processes),
as many of you may already know, I have been elected as new chair of our
PWG. Thank you for your trust - I hope I won't let you down.
I would like to begin with a few changes in our organization. In
particular, we are still using the old email listserver groups like
"strnuc" which don't really coincide anymore with the newly configured
PWGs. For that reason, I have initiated a new email list called
"deeppwg@jlab.org". I am asking all of you to do the following:
1) Sign up to deeppwg@jlab.org: Send an email to "Majordomo@jlab.org"
(without subject) and the single line "subscribe deeppwg". To send this
email, use your standard email computer and make sure that the "From"
and "Reply To" lines have your preferred email address in them. You can
also subscribe under a different email address with "subscribe deeppwg
yourname@yourcomputer.nett". You might receive an email asking for
confirmation - this should be self-explanatory.
I will be using the "strnuc" email list for a while to give you some
transition time, but I will NOT send any more email to "clas_photon" -
so please subscribe to deeppwg if you want to stay informed. If you
don't want to get double emails, you can unsubscribe from strnuc.
2) Please check out the CLAS collaboration database at
https://clasweb.jlab.org/membership/phonebook.php . Log in with your
JLab CUE username and password. You will find all the information on
yourself. If you are most closely associated with the Deep Processes
Working group, please make sure that your "Workgroup" entry reflects
this. I will use this information to contact you individually. So far,
we have about 40 members in the workgroup, but there are a substantial
number of "undeclared" members in the CLAS collaboration which really
might be associated with our group.
Finally, the collaboration meeting is already coming up soon - I would
like to ask you for suggestions for speakers and topics for our PWG
meeting on Friday (11/4) morning. (You may propose yourself or others).
If we can't fill our schedule with volunteers, I'll have to go around
twisting arms... ;-)
Greetings to all of you - Sebastian
