Dear Deep PWG members,

I need your input on a few items, so please send me an email with the following:

1) When should be our next PWG meeting? I would propose the first week of January, given that many Universities will start classes only on Jaunary 9. In addition, PAC29 will take place in the 2nd week of January , so we can have PAC dryruns. Please rate EACH of the following dates on a scale of 0-2 (0 = I cannot attend, 1 = possible but undesirable, 2 = good choice):
Thur 1/5, Fri 1/6, Sat 1/7, Sun 1/8. Monday is already scheduled for the PAC, but that may change. I haven't checked for rooms yet; on Thur and Fri we may be competing with Hall C collab. meeting. Depending on how many people want to present something, we can schedule either 1/2 day or a full day.

2) Paul Stoler has made an urgent request for all co-spokespersons (and interested parties) for experiments requesting 6 GeV beam energy to
a) confirm that indeed their experiment requires 6 GeV and can't do the approved Physics with an energy of 5 GeV or less
b) send in a short (1 paragraph) argument why 6 GeV is crucial.
We want to make a strong case to the JLab management that letting the machine energy slowly decay through "benign neglect" until the 12 GeV upgrade is NOT an acceptable option.
We absolutely need your input on this - if you don't speak up for 6 GeV, you might never see it...

3) I would like to compile a list of all ongoing analyses within our working group that are progressing towards analysis notes/papers so I can plan ahead with review committees etc. Please note which run group your analysis uses, what the channel/physics topic is, how far along the analysis is, and whether the analysis is based on an original proposal, a CAA, or just "because we can".

4) We will need review committees to review 3 upcoming PAC proposals: DVCS on the proton (jeopardy proposal), DVCS on the deuteron (new proposal), GDH sum rule on the neutron/deuteron at low Q2 (resubmission). Please let me know if you would like to be a reviewer of any of these proposals (of course I'll have to twist arms to get at least 2-3 for each). Each of the proposers are hereby URGED to POST a reasonably close to final version of their proposal by the END OF NEXT WEEK (11/11 11:11). We need 2 weeks for review within the PWG and after that 1 week collaboration-wide review before the December 5 deadline.

5) As I've said before: Please go to https://clasweb.jlab.org/membership/phonebook.php and check/update your profile, in particular make sure it shows your affiliation with our working group.

Greetings - Sebastian
