These are the brief minutes of last week's Friday meeting.
Present at the meeting: M. Ito, D. Lawrence, E. Clinton, M. Payen, A.
Teymurazyun, R. Demirchyan
On the telephone: D. Sober, D. Dale
1) Review of previous week's minutes - Mark said he would post Ilia's
Primex Note on the web soon.
2) Veto Analysis - Mike showed results for the efficiency of detecting
photons with the Veto detectors(false veto hits). With no cuts, the
result is ~3%. From the thickness of the scintillators, the photon
conversion rate should be ~1%. It has been mentioned at previous
meetings that there is accidental noise in plots of the time difference
between the top and bottom pmts. When events are only accepted with an
ADC vale >1000, the efficiency drops below 1%. This cut is too
drastic. It was suggested that the ADC cut be studied at various values
below 1000 to see the behavior in the efficiency. Dave also suggested
making a plot of Veto y (top/bottom time difference) vs HYCAL x.
3) JLAB Open house april 16 - Mark asked if anyone had Primex posters or
equipment which could be put on display for the Open House.
