PrimEx Weekly Meeting on September 5, 2008

1. Aron pointed out that we should prepare an authur’s list for PRL
publication. Mark will send out a draft of the list to the
collaboration and ask institute representatives for feedback.
2. Each pi0 analysis groups updated with their status: (a) Ashot said
that Ilya had been back from vacation. He is actively working on his
notes and should be able to post it on the web on time. Pawel is also
going to have his pi0 analysis. He will present his result at Friday
meeting on Sept 12. (b) Aron said that Dustin had done a lot since last
collaboration meeting. He will post his updated note by Sept 19. (c)
Since Eric has gone to military, Rory agrees to present Eric’s result
at the collaboration meeting.
3. Collaboration meeting will be on September 26 to finalize the pi0
result. Each group should submit their analysis notes by September 19
in order to be discussed in the collaboration meeting. Mark agrees to
look for international phone number in order to connect Ilya and Serge
to the collaboration meeting
4.Tulio pointed out some errors in his previous notes on Omega
background calculation. However, the numbers in the table are OK.
5. We plan to submit 12 GeV proposal to PAC in Dec. Ashot called for
more people to participate the Monte Carlo.
6. There was a discussion on the idea to build a general purpose high
resolution calorimeter at 12 GeV. All people at the meeting shared the
same opinion that we should go ahead to organize a one day workshop at
Jlab to get more people involved in this effort.
7. The next scretary will be Ashot.
