Calorimeter Workshop
Talks from the workshop have been posted on the [7]website. Mark will
send out an announcement to the PrimEx mailing list.
Monte Carlo Studies for 12 GeV Proposal
Pawel has started the studies. See his [9]plots in the slides
directory. He looked at eta events, generated by Ashot. He showed plots
of
1. y-coordinate difference of the two clusters versus x-coordinate
difference
2. cluster separation on the face of FCAL
3. two-photon invariant mass
4. reconstructed eta angular distribution, both as generated and as
reconstructed
He showed plots from a sample of reconstructed four vectors from Matt
Sheppard and from an event sample he generated himself with the hdgeant
program. There are some differences that have to be understood.
He will be working on a higher statistics sample that Ashot is
preparing. He also needs in incorpate a more realistic distribution of
eta production position in the target as well as angular smearing due
to the photon beam divergence.
Draft Text/Outline for Proposal
Liping gave a brief overview of the current status of the document.
Mark will post it on the web and announce the location.
Next Secretary
Pawel will take notes next time.
