Agenda : 1. Tagger/Flux (Eric Clinton)
2. Beam trips (Aram Teymurazyan)
3. Prototype coordinate reconstruction (Ilya Larin)
1) Eric showed some plots of TAGT id vs TDC counts for one TCounter, and
plots of TDC difference for the same TCounter. The plots of TDC difference
( time difference between adjacent hits in one event) showed an
oscillating structure, with a frequency of 3 MHz. Eric showed that this
structure is present in the TCounter distributions, but not
in the ECounter distributions.
Ilya suggested that it could be an effect of binning. Eric will look
more into it.
2) Aram showed some examples of text files with
lists of "good" events to be considered in the analysis.
The files can be found at
/work/hallb/primex/pdisk/teymuraz/beam_trips
The files have a format of :
start_event# end_event# ,
with an average of 10-20 periods of "good" events per file.
3) Ilya showed plots of coordinate reconstruction
, obtained with data from the 6x6 prototype detector.
Two types of correction were applied to the coordinate:
a) the corrected "center-of-gravity" method, and
b) correction as a function of ratios of deposited energies in the
adjacent blocks.
The results from both methods were similar in terms of
systematic deviation and resolution, with the
systematic deviation of 0.2-0.3 mm, and resolution of 2mm in the
central region of the blocks, and 1 mm near the edges.
Also, the results from the study of HYCAL transition scan were shown,
with the corrected "center-of-gravity" method compared to the
uncorrected one. The deviation from linearity is up to 5 mm
in the crystal-glass transition regions.
