The XXVI International Symposium on Lattice Field Theory

Conference Proceedings

As in recent years, the Lattice 2008 proceedings will be published in the online journal, Proceedings of Science (PoS) organized by SISSA, the International School for Advanced Studies based in Trieste. The deadline for submission is

2008 October 01

Page Limits

The page limits for contributions to Lattice 2008 are 7 pages for parallel talks and poster presentations, 15 pages for short plenary talks (30 minutes) and 22 pages for long plenary talks (45 minutes). All contributions to the Lattice 2008 proceedings will be refereed by the Lattice 2008 Editorial Board, which is composed of the members of the Lattice 2008 Local Organizing Committee. The chairman in charge of the proceedings can be contacted at hbt8r@virginia.edu, and all inquiries concerning the proceedings should be sent to this e-mail address.

Preparation of the Contributions

The contributions can be prepared using either LaTeX or MS Word. The final format must be a PDF document in the PoS style. A zip archive with the appropriate style files will be available for download from the conference web page. This package contains the LaTeX class, a skeleton file for MS Word contributions, and a PDF file with detailed instructions.

Submission of Contributions

Contributions can only be submitted as PDF documents by web upload from the PoS web page. All registered contributors will receive an e-mail shortly after the conference. This email contains the contribution code, a personal user ID, and a password. The contribution code will be used to identify the paper together with the general identifier LAT2008. The full code of a paper is, e.g., PoS(LAT2008)042. The personal user ID and the password allow you to login at login for AUTHORS on the PoS web page and to submit your paper there. Once your contribution is uploaded, it will be refereed by the Lattice 2008 Editorial Board. If the paper is okay, it will go online; otherwise, the author will be contacted.

Combining Contributions

It is possible to combine contributions from several presentations into a single longer paper. The page limit is the sum of the individual page limits. If you wish to make use of this option, please select a corresponding author who should send an e-mail to chairman in charge of the proceedings at hbt8r@virginia.edu. This e-mail should contain the following:

  1. which contributions are combined (including all contribution codes)
  2. which contribution code is to be used for the combined paper
  3. the section to which the combined paper should be assigned

The combined paper can then be submitted in the same way as a single contribution, using the contribution code sent to the chairman. The other contribution codes will remain unused.
