| Abstract: | A nuclear physics experiment begins with beam on target and ends with data analysis, a paper in a journal, a PhD or even a Nobel prize. Between the detector and the analysis is the world of data acquisition. It is a specialized field in it's own right. This talk will hopefully provide some explanation of the acronyms, techniques, challenges and what goes on between pressing the "go" and "end" buttons. |
