Joe Scarcello
Chief Financial Officer
Joe Scarcello is Chief Financial Officer and Manager Business Operations of the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (Jefferson Lab), a U.S. Department of Energy nuclear physics research facility in Newport News, Virginia. Joe comes to the Lab from Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). He has twenty-seven years Management, Contracts, Business and Finance experience, in which the past six years were spent as one of CSC's Division leaders. In this position immediately prior to joining the Lab, he was Vice President for Contract Administration at CSC's Applied Technology Division. Scarcello has extensive management and business experience with a focus on cost reimbursable, award fee/term contracts, having worked at increasing management levels on DOE contracts at the Strategic Petroleum Reserves in Louisiana and Texas, the Rocky Flats Environmental Technology Site in Golden, Colorado, the Hanford Site, in Richland, Washington, and; on various Department of Defense and NASA contracts and subcontracts for service contracts and construction project subcontracts. He has served on several company boards of Managers / Directors and committees, was an officer of CSC's Applied Technologies LLC and is a member of the Air Force Material Command's Contractor Innovations Group, where Industry and Government Representatives promote policy reform. In 1979, he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Major in Marketing, from the University of New Orleans.
