As Federal Projects Director for the TJSO Site Office, Mr. Korynta has the following responsibilities:
- Provides technical support to TJNAF on behalf of the Department in the areas of maintenance, project management, civil construction, emergency management, energy management, and conduct of operations.
- Co-develops and monitors "results-oriented" performance measures with Southeastern Universities Research Association for TJNAF.
- Makes routine field observations in order to assess the condition and operability of DOE facilities.
Experience:
- Education: M.S. Nuclear Engineering; B.S. Electrical Engineering; BS Business Management
- 15 years experience with the Department of Energy including:
- 4 years as General Engineer for the TJNAF Site Office
- 9 years at the Oak Ridge Operations Office in the Environment Management Program
- 1 year at DOE Headquarters in the New Production Reactors Program
- 1 year at the Nevada Test Site in the Weapons Testing Program
- 4 years experience as electronics technician in the U.S. Air Force Weapons Lab
- 4 years as Assistant Manager for a Farmers Co-op
