I present the main lines of the research I would like to develop in the next years. It concerns the analysis of amplitudes for hadron spectroscopy. One of the main goals of the GlueX, but also CLAS12, experiments is the discovery of new resonances which could be only achieved with a detailed analysis. I sketch the steps of such analysis based on Regge theory taking the reaction \gamma p \to \eta \pi p as an example. I also explain how a systematic implementation of theoretical amplitudes could be realized with the amplitude generator MadGraph.
