Electrical Safety Committee
The Jefferson Lab Electrical Safety Committee (ESC) promotes electrical safety at the laboratory; it reviews proposed changes and/or exemptions to standard TJNAF electrical safety policies and practices; provides technical interpretation of related external standards or related issues. The ESC serves as technical advisor and provides recommendations for exceptions and equivalencies in codes and standards.
Members of the ESC consist of representatives appointed by each Associate Director. Such representatives have recognized experience in the design and use of electronic or electrical equipment and associated codes and standards. The ESC responds to requests and suggestions from the Director's Safety Council.
