EXCEL Basic Functions

HELP GUIDE TO EXPLANATION
Each Cell each individual block
The Rows each line of cells across
The Columns each line of cells down
A Record Number each row of cells is numbered (far left)
Red Triangle in a Cell that cell contains a note with additional information
to view a note, scroll mouse arrow over that cell
or click view @ top menu, click comments
Keyboard F4 key repeat function key
To Sort select the entire file
click data @ top menu
click sort...
chose the sort option of your choice in the sort by block
click OK
To Search be at the top of the file
click in the first cell of the column you would like to search
click edit @ top menu
click find...
switch "search by rows" to "search by columns"
click in the find what box
type required search info
click OK
