205.11 Unemployment Compensation Insurance
- POLICY
JSA/JLab pays a percentage of its payroll into the federal and state unemployment compensation fund to provide benefits to employees who may become unemployed under conditions prescribed by Commonwealth of Virginia laws.
- ELIGIBILITY
All employees who have worked a total of thirty (30) work days are considered eligible for full or partial benefits. To qualify for benefits, application must be made at the Virginia Employment Commission where the eligibility determination process, your rights and benefits will be explained.
- APPLICATION
- JSA/JLab will ensure that claims made are congruent with employer responsibility by responding to notification forms or attending hearings.
- Unemployment compensation benefits may be deferred by severance and leave payments.
