208.09 Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H)
- WORKING ENVIRONMENT
It is the policy of JSA to provide a safe, healthy, and environmentally sound workplace. JSA shall maintain compliance with Department of Energy environmental, health, and safety regulations, and all other relevant federal and state environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- RESPONSIBILITY
- Line management is responsible for compliance and for ensuring that each area is free from hazardous conditions which could result in injury, illness or death.
- Employees are responsible for complying with all applicable environmental, safety, and health guidelines, conducting themselves in a safe manner, and immediately reporting any known or suspected hazardous conditions to their supervisor.
- Periodic training shall be provided on environmental, health, and safety topics. Line management is responsible for ensuring that their employees participate in training activities which relate to their work environment.
- DETAILED ES&H INFORMATION
Detailed information on ES&H policies, procedures and practices is contained in the JSA/CEBAF Environment, Safety and Health Manual, which is available both in hard copy and on-line. Any employee who does not know how to access a copy of the ES&H Manual shall request that information from his/her supervisor.
