May 2nd is Hampton Roads Transit's Clean Commute Day
Do you know what May 2nd is? It is the 3rd Annual Clean Commute Day. May 2nd has been set aside for commuters to try environmentally friendly alternative ways of getting to work. These ways include carpooling, riding the ferry, biking, walking, or taking public transportation.
Give it a try! Ride in with another coworker, or get your bike out of storage and ride it to the JLab. You may find out you like it!!!
If you fill out the pledge sheet at http://www.2wd.com/events/clean_day.html, and fax it to 456-0100, you can win free stuff. You will be entered in a contest to win a $1,000 bike from Conte's, and a trip to the Bahamas. All participants will be invited to a free buffet at Jillian's Waterside restaurant. So besides it being good for the environment you could also win some really cool prizes.
