City and county-wide household chemical collection information for Spring.

Household Chemicals for all Hampton, Newport News, York County and James City County residents are taken at any VIPSA collection event. Call 259-9850, extension 30 for more information. Below are specific dates, times, and locations for cities/counties near Jefferson Lab.

You may have to prove residency if a valid city/county sticker is not evident on your vehicle.

The City will host a quarterly Household Chemical Collection program on the last Saturday of the month. The first one for 2003 is shown, with dropoff times from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

March 22, 2003 Public Works Operations Center - Operations Drive off of Jefferson Avenue, across from Patrick Henry Mall

Hampton:

Household chemicals will be collected quarterly (Saturdays) from Hampton residents. The first one for 2003 is following, with dropoff times between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

March 15, 2003 Public Works operations yard located at 419 North Armistead Avenue

York and James City Counties:

The first household chemical collection for York and James county residents will be held on Saturday March 8th.

York County residents can bring their household chemicals to 145 Goodwin Neck Road between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

James City County residents can bring their chemicals to Tewning Road between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Williamsburg:

Residents can drop off pesticides, automotive products, batteries, and other household chemicals on Saturday March 8th. Take them to the recycling center located on Tewning Road from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

NOTE ON COMPUTER RECYCLING - for ALL area residents:

On May 10th, 2003 you can bring your computer to the VIPSA center at 145 Goodwin Neck Road in Yorktown for recycling. Call 259-9850 for specific information and requirements for recycling your old computer or to volunteer!
