Jefferson Lab’s Recycling Rates Improve again in 2003

By the end of calendar year 2003 EH&S Reporting and staff volunteers had established 16 fully functioning recycling centers as well as several satellite collection areas. Materials collected include: CDs/diskettes, inkjet cartridges, fax/copier/printer cartridges, transparencies, Tyvek® envelopes, greeting cards, packing materials, batteries, packing materials, aluminum cans, and plastic bottles. Since the inception of JLab’s recycling center program in the year 2000, there has been a dramatic increase in the quantities of materials recycled.
