Recycling after the Holidays
Now that the 2005 Holiday Season has come and gone, think about what you can do with the remaining used cards, packaging materials, decorations, and other items. Why not REUSE or RECYCLE them!*#%&*@
- Recycle your left over and used wrapping paper
- Reuse your bows for other holidays or special occasions.
- Reuse garment or mailing boxes; otherwise, put them with your curbside recycling items.
- Reuse electric candle batteries in other electrical equipment such as walk-mans and radios.
- Return plastic grocery bags to your local Food Lion, Farm Fresh, or Wal-Mart stores for recycling.
- Recycle your new and gently used cards at Jefferson Lab’s recycling centers. They’re donated to St. Jude’s Ranch for Children! Bring your new or gently used Greeting Cards to a Jefferson Lab recycling center – donated cards are fixed up and resold. The children precision cut the card fronts and glue them to pre-printed card stock. For more information on the "Recycled Card Program" visit: http://stjudesranch.org/Content/cardprogram.asp
