Adventure Race
3:15pm hand out clues and explain the rules
3:30pm Start 4:45pm Finish
“It’s not a matter of speed, it’s a matter of strategy.” This event may involve walking/running on grass and unpaved areas and climbing of stairs. Each team/individual will receive a clue sheet, and numbered scorecard. Each clue describes an item, location, or person. All clues are located on Jlab/SURA property. No clue is located “inside the fence.” Read the clues. Go to the location/item/person described. Color in the in the appropriate box on the scorecard. The first one back to the Game Announcer with an accurately completed scorecard wins. In the event that no one finishes the one with the most correct answers will win.
Pumpkin Carving Judging will be at 4:30pm
Balloon Relay
3:45pm
People will be divided up into teams. Teams will line up at the start line. The first person in line runs down to the bale hay and picks a balloon. The person places the balloon on the bale and sits on it to pop it. When popped, they run back to the start and tag the next person on their team. First team with all their players having popped a balloon wins.
Laundry Bag Game 4:00pm
People will be divided into teams. Spare clothes will be piled at the finish line. Teams will line up at the start. The first person runs to the pile and puts on a shirt, pants and hat. (Both arms must be through the sleeves; both legs through the pants and the hat must be on the head.) When dressed, the person runs back to their teammates. The person must remove the clothes and the next person must dress and run back to the pile. They then take off the clothes and run back to the start and tag the next teammate who runs to the pile and dresses. The first team to have all their teammates having dressed and over the finish line wins.
Needle in the Haystack 4:15pm
For kids 10 and under. Inside the haystack in the middle of the field will be prizes for the kids. Kids will circle around the haystack. When the announcer says “go” the kids get to dig into the haystack and collect the prizes.
Scarecrow Building 4:30pm
Supplies provided will include hay, variety of clothes, sticks of varied lengths, string, and various accessories. Individuals can bring items from home. You will have 15 minutes to build a scarecrow. Winners will be judged by our panel of judges.
