This Users Meeting is a critical step in this process. It is the
culmination of the series of User Workshops begun in 1994 and carried
on intensely this Winter and Spring devoted to the 12-GeV
upgrade. Almost the entire meeting will be devoted to presentations
and extended discussions of the programs developed in these workshops
in five different areas and by the Hall D Collaboration,
and to the key experiments (or programs) that will drive the upgrade.
From these presentations and from the discussions with users
present at this meeting, the White Paper Steering Committee will
choose the best for presentation to PAC18 in July. Beyond the workshops
themselves, this meeting is the main opportunity for users to press
their case with the Steering Committee. Please see the 12-GeV site http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/p
hysics_division/GeV.html for more
details.
