Hall C summer meeting: Announcement and call for contribution
Physics opportunities in Hall C at 12 GeV
August 4 & 5, 2008
This year, the Hall C summer meeting will focus on the physics opportunities in Hall C at 12 GeV. This two-day meeting will allow us to review the already proposed 12 GeV experiments and to explore ideas for new experiments. The meeting will give us, to a certain degree, the opportunity to discuss new 12 GeV experiments in Hall C despite the absence of the PAC meeting this summer. The meeting will especially focus on the following physics topics: QCD in nuclei, SIDIS and exclusive processes, and Large x physics. But other physics topics suggested by users will also be discussed. The final afternoon of the meeting will be devoted to an update on the apparatus upgrade.
Each session will start with both a theoretical and an experimental review. The session will then continue with contributed talks. We are inviting users with ideas for experiments to be performed in Hall C with the 12 GeV beam to present their ideas during the summer meeting. Users should contact a member of the Hall C steering committee or A. Bruell to have a talk added to the schedule. Talks submitted before May 30 will be given priority.
We look forward to meeting with you this summer.
Julie Roche for the Hall C steering committee (A. Ahmidouch, H. Gao, H. Mkrtchyan and J. Roche) and A. Bruell.
