Nuclear Research Post-Doctoral Scientist
Schlumberger-Doll Research, a leading research laboratory in the petroleum industry, invites applications for a Nuclear Research Post-Doctoral Scientist position based in Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will join a new group investigating novel accelerator concepts in close association with academic centers of excellence. The candidate is expected to have a Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering. The candidate should have a strong background in experimental nuclear physics, particularly with low to medium energy accelerator sub-systems (RF, HV, vacuum, etc). Experience with RR and/or particle simulation packages (CST, HFSS, etc.) is a plus.
We are looking for candidates with strong technical and communication skills, as well as the ability to foster effective working relationships with fellow scientists and engineers. Prior experience in the oilfield industry or industrial research labs is a plus but not required.
