Ideas for More Running at 6 GeV
From PrimExWiki
At the September 14 2007 weekly meeting Ashot proposed that we start a web page to collect ideas for more running at 6 GeV. These could serve as themes for a proposal for more running. This is a start at that page. Please add your ideas below. For now we should not worry much about the format or organization; this will likely look pretty chaotic at first. It is more important to get everything down in one place.

Original List
- Dan's and Dustin's list of improvements. We assigned the task of compiling a list of improvements to Dan and Dustin at a collaboration meeting. This version dates from August 2005. It is also linked from the main PrimEx page.

Mark's Items
These should get incorporated in some master list at a later date, but off the top of my head...
- Running efficiency
- Better plan for commissioning
- Better software preparation for the calibration scheme
- Run plan improvements
- More than two snake scan runs
- Plan for regular Compton and pair production running
- Other targets
- Tin(?)
- Beryllium(?)
- Compton improvements
- More frequent clock triggers (Aram from last Fri. meeting)
- Thinner target (Eugene from last Fri. meeting)
- Pair production improvements(?)
- Flux monitoring improvements(?)
- Measurements to quantify accidental backgrounds(?)
- Study of trigger with no MOR
- Measurements at higher π0 angle to characterize nuclear backgrounds (run with smaller target to hycal distance).
- Measurement of ω and ρ backgrounds(?)
