Weekly Minutes August 01, 2008

  1. The Hall D Monte Carlo work briefly discussed. There is a good progress on the development of different generators, but the final files with the signal and background events are not ready yet to use. Matthew is working on that, hope will be ready soon. Also, there are good activities to modify the HDGEANT code ourself to implement our calorimeter in the code.
  2. Our approach for the next collaboration meeting briefly discussed again and reproved. Most likely date for the meeting is the second part of September, provided we have the final results from all groups with the updated notes.
  3. Preparations for the paper publications was discussed. It is going slowly. Rory is working on "Target" paper for the NIM publication. There was a question about the HYCAL publication alone or with the whole setup. A decision was made to prepare the text first and then rediscuss again.
  4. Rory gave a presentation: "SSPM's for HyCal", see the Agenda for the text.
  5. Yelena showed new Compton results. More detail left for the next week, see the slides directory.
  6. Eric (UNCW) showed his results for the PbWO crystal resolutions from the 6x6 prototype tests.
