Z-position of HyCal
From PrimExWiki
- Email message exchange from 2004
- Dustin and Mark met with Jim Dahlberg in the Hall today. We looked at the target. The z-position referred to in the data transmittal is the downstream face of the aluminum frame that holds all of the targets. He also noted that there was a correction left out of the number in the transmittal: the fact that the center of the probe was not at the surface of the frame. The corrected z-position is -14756.31 mm in the Hall coordinate system. Note that the target holders attach to the upstream face and that that face is milled out where the targets attach and that the center of the targets are not at the surface of the target holders. Note that Chris Gould sent Mark an email message on 5/24/06 with some z numbers; Jim told us to ignore that message.
