This entry is a followup to: 228251

    Followups:

keyword=form factor of Ta -> rate at 12.5 degr.

Per KK's request, I measured the form factor of Tantalum.

    The model is : R = theta^N
where theta = angle, and R = rate. Problem is to find N.
Plotted in fig 1 is the log-log plot, the slope N is -12.2.

The data was taken at 8 uA.

Conclusion (someone check me, I'm a sleep-deprived vegetable) is
that at 12.5 degrees we'd get 1900 Hz in the thick stack detector
for 8 uA, i.e. 240 Hz per uA. Given our naive scaling factor of
80 from halog 228251, we expect to see 19 kHz per uA in the
    scintillators at 12.5 degrees.

Raw data during spectrometer move is given below.
The run # 3706 started at 17.5 degrees.

Theta ...... Rate in T4 (thick stack)
    degrees .... Hz

    ... 15 ..... 170
    ... 15.5 ... 122
    ... 16 ..... 90
    ... 17 ..... 44
    ... 17.5 ... 36
    ... 18 ..... 24
    ... 19 ..... 10
