    keyword=Owl Shift Summary

By mistake I already submitted part of it at 3:00 o'clock, sorry

00:00 Shift starts planning Harp Scan - Bull's eye scan
Harp IH03A does not work. We ask MCC to perform Harp scan but also in their side it does not work.
Results of Harp IH03B are in /usr/opdata/profile/IHA1H03B.05162008_00:52

01:00 so we skip the Bull's eye scan and we go back to the nominal beam position we have before: BPMA = 1.39; 1.18, BMPB = 0.9; 1.29

Big Bite magnet rumped up to 700 A
    Hole-drilled target in
    Beam position in Ok
    Target tantalum in

03:00 some trouble with Hydrogen target, Paul plays with it

03:35 Start calibrations with Hydrogen target. First point of the FPP scan, 1750 V
    03:40 FPP HV Scan

    run # HV
    1148 1750
    1149 1770
    1150 1800
    1152 1825
    1153 1850
    1154 1875
    1155 1900

Then we keep running at HV = 1800 V while waiting for Big Bite setting, run 1156 and 1157

    05:35 FPP HV increased to 1850 V, run 1158
06:00 FPP HV increased further to 1825 V, run 1159

We move to Dummy target and increase current from 4 to 8 uA.
With Dummy target we asked for 100 uA beam, MCC told us that we are not allowed to go higher than 20 uA, at the end they were not able to send stable beam higher than 8 uA.

7:35 MCC asked to move to empty target to test the reason of current limit.
They were able to send 20 uA beam, so the target was limiting our current before.

Shift end with Elaine calling and asking to turn off Big Bite.
