keyword=Investigating Weired Spot++ on Optics Target
It's reported Spot++ on carbon optics target is reported to be weired as in last ELog. As I understand, this problem lead to a suspension of optics run plans.
Further investigation is put on these runs. As in first plot, is comparision of beam Y VS react Z plots for optics and dummy hole targets. It appears to me that the up stream dummy foil invaded space of optics target. (It's also possible that beam have an angle of shooting up though). As another support to this theory, shown in 2nd plot is spot++ on up and down stream dummy foils. It's obvious that hole on the upstream foil is above the beam center, which suggests this foil could be higher than it should be and enter view of optics target.
John just suggested that we could move beam several mm downward during next optics run to see the edge of carbon foils and dummy foils. This would confirm the vertical lay out of these targets.
If it's just that one dummy foild installed higher than expectation, we can still carry out the optics runs as planned.
