Simple Poster Printing
within the ARC building

  • From Windows XP, to add a printer, follow the directions

  • I used PowerPoint in MS Office 2003 (2007 proved quite balky and OpenOffice had difficulties with the printing)

  • To print a matt version, use cadplot2 (good for drafts). Dries almost immediately.

  • To print a glossy version (good for conferences), use printer cadplot9. It is recommended that you let it dry overnight before handling, but I've picked it up and carried it to my office to let it dry there after ~30min.

  • Both printers are on the ARC 2nd floor room#225 in document control - turn left out of the elevator, left at the hall, 1st door on your right. It is only open office hours. The people there are very helpful and will go ahead set output from cadplot9 aside to dry for you.
