Therefore I purpose here to set down the great and fearfull judgments,
wherwith God hath already plagued many in this world, especially them of high
degree, whose example will serve for a glasse both for these that live now,
or shall live hereafter.
---A Rogue's List of Evildoer's Fates, Thomas Beard (d.1632)
The older order changeth, yielding place to new,
And God fulfils himself in many ways,
Lest one good custom should corrupt the world.
---Idylls of the King, Alfred Lord Tennyson (1899)
Due to security concerns, Windows vs. UNIX, and Explorer vs. Netscape idiosynchracies, access to a given web page at TJNAF isn't as simple as it used to be. In general, Windows pages work best from Internet Explorer, while UNIX pages work with most browsers.
Basically, there are 3 catigories of access:
For example, the last would include jlabs1, jlabh1, jlabl1, but exclude op03 and fel07. The 2nd catagory would include almost all machines at Jlab and those phoning in to the Jlab modems, but not machines connected to the Cox network.
