| Here are a few plots of the momentum and angular tracking resolution for various configurations of of the central vertex detector. These were produced via HDFast. Each plot represents about 100k pi+ events. The pi+ had a momentum of 1500GeV/c with an evenly distributed angular distribution. The momentum resolution looks to be in good agreement with what Curtis found. The geometry was changed by just modifying the HDFast.db file. The files themselves are available from links on the individual plot pages. The "Forward Disk" was added as a "5th" FDC as per Curtis' suggestion. The position was changed for the last few runs. Due to a restriction in the total number of sidisks, only 2 detector planes were used. They were given a fine resolution of 100microns to start with so any effect would be clear. The disk had an inner radius of 2cm and an outer radius of 8cm. All plots used the default resolution and efficiency for the vertex detector. |
