nmr NMR SENSORS
The NMR coils for the top and bottom containers are placed outside the cells: both a  proton (1 loop) and deuteron (4 loop) coils are present for each cell.  A Cu/Be coaxial cable connects the coils to a flexible SUCOFORM 86 cable to allow the up and down movement of the stick and the connection to the outside through an hermethic vacuum  feed-through.
Each cable is marked with a different color to distinguish the different coils:

COLOR COIL
red proton bottom target
blue proton top target
green deuteron bottom target
yellow deuteron top target
The electrical characteristic of cable and loops from the outside hermetic feed-through can be measured with the Hewlett-Packard TDR. When instrument is set to lenght in meter, electrical speed equal to 0.69c (teflon insulator), the following impedance graph is displayed: here A represents the zero lenght point, B the internal cable lenght, C the coil region and D the position of the cursor at Z=10 Ohm.
