temperature CALIBRATION OF THE TEMPERATURE SENSORS
Different temperature sensor are placed on the stick.
 

Ruthenium Oxide:  Each stick is equipped with two RuOsensors located above the deuteron and proton cells.
                                        For T < 6 K the temperature-resistance relation is the following
                                                                T = (A /(R - B))**2
                                        where R is the measured resistance in Ohms and A, B are given in the following table.
                                       Typically at liquid helium R>1500 Ohms.

Cernox 1050:        Each stick is equipped with a cernox located above the 4 target cells and used as reference temperature for
                                    the two thermocouples.
                                  The calibration of the cernox for both sticks is stored in the ITC 503 temperature controller, channel
                                   number 2.

Thermocouples:   each thermocouple (two for each stick) consists of two junctions (Chromel/Au/Chromel): the reference
                            junction is located near the top cernox (1050), while the sensing is placed inside the target container.
                            The measured voltage is linearly related to the temperature difference of the two junction. The calibration
                            given below was obtained when the reference junction is mantained in liquid nitrogen ( T = 77K). In this
                            condition the thermoelectric constant s (microvolt/kelvin) is:

CONNECTIONS OF THE STICK SENSORS
All the temperature sensors are wired onto a 15 pins connector located in the inner part of the stick top flange. The connection to the outside is provided by a 24 pins Fisher connector. The following tables summarize the present wiring.
