Upgrade Scenarios

The IR FEL and driver discussed in this site is the first of several FELs under development at Jefferson Lab. The goal of this process is to build a pair of industrially and militarily useful FELs - a 100 kW UV device for photo-processing and a 1 MW IR device for Naval defense applications. The evolution of the 42 MeV driver toward these future machines is discussed in the following links.
