Minutes of the E00102 meeting Thursday, Nov. 15 Reitz RC reports: - kin Iplus nearly done, 3k events in p3/2, 500 events in p1/2, (after 3000 uAhrs) - we will stop after reaching 3500 uAhrs (around 5 pm) - then doing a q-measurement - then switching to Hminus, where we will stay until the Thanksgiving break - Hminus will run at lower current, which makes Injector people happy: they think, they can deliver 70 uA until Thanksgiving (if we would want to continue with currents above 90uA, they would have to do the beamspot move now) - talked to Ed Folts about surveys: * after Thanksgiving we want to get a survey of HRS right * after the end of the experiment, a survey of the beamline, the target and the HRS right is scheduled * left arm is fixed, and Ed Folts asked us, to skip a survey of it - Arun suggested to do a q-measurement before and after the Thanksgiving Break. - Concerning ROC14: ROC14 is increasingly making trouble. the information we obtain from ROC14 is redundant, it is also included in the EPICs data, which is included in the data stream. we have verified this today. Bob Michaels is working on several solutions for the ROC 14 problem on various time scales: 1) running CODA without ROC14: the standard CODA configuration e00102 runs without ROC14 in the unbuffered mode. This should avoid the synch. problems we experienced today, when we tried to run without ROC14 in the buffered mode. This configuration will be tested by the swing shift at the beginning of the Hminus setting the old CODA configuration (including ROC14, buffered mode) is now called "withROC14", this is the way we run right now, risking crashes from ROC14 Please watch the Halog entries for further developments 2) during the Thanksgiving Break, Bob Michaels can do some more things, most promising seems to be, to use ROC11, located in the detector hut, to get the BPM information. (at the moment ROC11 is only used for scaler readout) - Shift schedule: We are still looking for someone to fill the owl shift next Wednesday. There are a few more holes in the shift schedule after the Thanksgiving break. Please have a look, if you are available.
