Minutes of the E00-102 Meeting Wednesday, December 5 2002 Fissum KF/WH/BR/AS/LW o the goal of this meeting was to outline the project status, and develop a plan-of-attack for the coming months. o Wendy summarized the current status of the data analysis, and provided an overview of the substantial progress she has made during the recent weeks. The optics work has been finished, and the spectrometer mispointing has been tracked through the data. Thus, completed header files are now available for analyzing each and every kinematics. She also reported that she has a batch script working. This script pulls a run from the SILO and then pumps it through ESPACE on the farm machines to generate a raw data .hbook file. She has replayed all of kinematics A through E in this manner, and is presently working on kinematics F. She also reported that the script John Arrington wrote to filter coincidence data out of the raw data .hbook files no longer works, so this will need to be checked out. Finally, she concluded by saying that she has finished her substantial MCEEP modifications, so that both SNAKE and COSY spectrometer models exist within her version of the simulator. This MCEEP modification will be incorporated into the standard version of MCEEP and released to the general Hall A public sometime in the near future. o we then shifted to developing an outline of the tasks we intend to individually pursue in the near future. Wendy will continue to generate the raw data .hbook files. The goal is to have all these ready and available for data quality checks by early March 2003. Further, she will start to look at the phase space overlap between the +/- kinematics, and also to track the H(e,e) cross sections measured by HRSl. Mattias will finish his coursework and write and defend his Licentiate thesis. The goal is to have these projects finished by mid-February 2003, so that by early March, he will again be working full-time on the data analysis. Kevin will continue to work on the E89003 PRC article. Recall the goal for submitting this paper was Xmas 2002. This goal will not be met due to the large influx of new theoretical work that will be included. He will also develop the MCEEP input decks for the `as-run' experiment, as a first step towards recreating the experiment in software. Larry will work closely with Wendy to develop a series of cross checks for determining the quality of the individual data runs, and thus delete all suspect runs from the raw data .hbook set. He will investigate porting some Hall B tools presently used for this purpose into the Hall A environment. Bodo is very busy with other projects, but will happily provide software tools for the data analysis (and the requisite tutorials) whenever possible. Arun will help with the PRC article. o by mid-March, we hope to have our data quality checks completed, our `good runs' selection performed, and have started extracting the coincidence data for detailed analysis. o Note that Wendy will present the experiment status report at the HAC meeting next week.
