Minutes of the E00-102 Meeting Monday, July 21 2003 Fissum KF/SG/BR/RR/AS/LW o AS announced that the high-school teacher from Los Angeles who will be working on pieces of the analysis under the supervision of Cal-State LA and RR may be coming to JLab for a week or two in August. o LW announced that an ODU summer student will be helping RR perform the mechanics of the first-pass cooking. o KF announced that the simulations and analysis platform for Lund has been purchased and brought on online. He will begin using it by building a software model of the experiment within the framework of MCEEP. o RR explained that the first-pass cooking is basically breaking the data up into subsets according to trigger type. In addition to physics ntuples, the replay generates ntuples to be used for determining scintillator efficiencies and VDC track reconstruction efficiencies. There are no real physics cuts at this point. Thus, there is no reduction in the amount of required disk space at this time. Porting is not currently an option. At this time, A+-, B+-, C+-, and D+ have been reprocessed. Cooked data is written to our workspace on /work/. o BR has been examining VDC data from several recent experiments which ran chronologically around E00-102. He has found nothing suspicious in the E00-102 data. The VDC track reconstruction efficiency as a function of rate seems to track as it should for our data. o RR announced the goal of hopefully completing the first-pass cooking by the end of August.
