Notes and Action Items from Hall C Compton meeting: 4/14/2009

Attendees: Ron, Katherine, Butch, Ernie, Chris, and Dave

Breaking news: JLab procurement has authorized $65k of the $80k requested for the
chicane. This is enough to at least get the dipoles moving. Subsequent increases will
have to be requested separately - quotes to show JLab procurement will help.

0. We will meet by phone again next Tuesday (April 21) at 1:30 pm.

1. Target date for final design is now April 21. In most recent model, issues with stand height have
been addressed.

To do:

   --> Put in appropriate pipe sizes for BPMs and correctors: right now Chris has 4 inch pipes.
       Flanges on BPMs can be somewhat arbitary, but corrector size matters.
   --> Put BPMs and correctors in model
   --> Vacuum system

Ron has dropped Chris' latest Step file into the JLab model. Looks pretty good except for
corrector/beam pipe issue (known) and one small overlap of flange pair (see attached).

2. John Heckman is out. Dave will alert Elliot Smythe and Greg Marble that Ernie 
will be in touch (done). Date for finalvacuum design completion still TBD.

3. Interaction region:

Dave G. will generate "cartoon" of region needed for laser. The bulk of this
will include Joyce's design of the modified cavity, but will also include some
pieces from original French design. Total length ~ 50 inches (Dave guesstimate right now).

I will try to finish by COB today (Friday).

Chris tried to get in touch with Joyce Miller regarding her model: no response yet. Likely 
she was on vacation last week.
