Notes and Action Items from Hall C Compton meeting: 4/6/2009

Attendees: Ron, Katherine, Butch, Ernie, Chris, and Dave

0. We will meet by phone again next Tuesday (April 14) at 1:30 pm.

1. Final drawings for Compton chicane (excluding interaction region and electron detector) still 
tentatively on track for April 10. This may slip to April 14.

2. Dipole stand in Chris' most recent drawings different from the one Ron was using when 
inserting in the Hall C line. Maybe this resolves the beam height discrepancy?

3. Ernie still needs to touch base with John Heckman. Dave will alert John that Ernie 
will be in touch (done). Date for finalvacuum design completion still TBD.

4. Interaction region:

Final decision on whether Hall A design will fit in Hall C interaction
region still pending based on final MIT layout. (note: Chris is worried about the space - it might be tight).

Dave G. checked with Jay regarding cavity mirrors sitting 5 mm from beamline: 
Jay is not worried. In reality, we will use slightly smaller mirrors (7.75 mm) so we get an extra mm from the beam!

Ernie/Chris will get quotes on fabricating the Hall A system. They will ask Joyce for her drawings 
(Dave has alerted her already). JLab will write Purchase Req. on fabrication directly since this is 
a change of scope of the original MOU.
