Notes and Action Items from Hall C Compton meeting: 5/12/2009

Attendees: Ron, Katherine, Butch, Ernie, Chris, and Dave


0. Next meeting, Tuesday May 19 - 1:30 pm.

1. Dipoles ordered. They will be fabricated by Buckley Systems in New Zealand (road trip!).
Delivery at MIT should be by 9/1 - delivery at JLab by 9/15.

2. Dave checked with Ken Baggett - that date should be ok for magnet measurements to be completed
in time for installation. He requests info on cycling procedure.

3. Ernie will talk to John Heckman about pumps. We will order them and ship them to
MIT Bates so they can be used during test pump down.

4. Chris will be on vacation the week of May 25.

5. Comments on Chris' latest drawings.
   a. BPM and corrector ordering between dipoles 1-2 and 3-4 looks good.
   b. Vacuum valves will be shifted to interaction region.
   c. Photon detector "box" will be added: size = 10 x 10 cm (transverse) x 68 cm (length)
   d. An additional tube for the photons to travel through on their way to the photon detector 
      would be good.

6. Fabrication of the Hall A cavity design is becoming more urgent - we need to have something to play
with soon so that we have time to make any improvements needed.
