Hall A current monitor WEB page - B.D. page#2

Block diagram detailed description - page 2

The Unser is connected in the Hall to a "Front-end Electronics" box (placed in a lead shield under the beam pipe), which is itself connected to a "Back-end Electronics" box in the Counting House.
The output of the electronics is a dc signal proportionnal to the current of the beam, which is measured with an HP34401A Digital Multimeter (accuracy better than 0.01%).

For calibration purposes, a wire has been placed inside the transformer: with a high-precision current source Keithley 224 we inject, via a 200ft triaxial cable, a low-intensity dc current in the Unser, in order to simulate the beam.
