The following 2D plots show mass^2 vs. paddle in the TOF detector. The stripe across the top at ~0.8 Gev^2 shows the proton hits and the stripe across the bottom at ~0.01 GeV^2 shows the pion hits. The mean value of these two masses derived from these plots serves as a good test of the TOF calibration. There is one plot per sector.
