You will find information regarding its scientific program, abstract submission, schedule of talks and posters, and contributed papers for the MPBP'05 proceedings. The Medical Physics for Black Physicists (MPBP) session of the National Society for Black Physicists (NSBP) was created to promote the field of medical physics to the minority population, provide new opportunities for under-represented scientists, in particular the African American community, attract and increase the minority population in this field and establish a national network of minority medical physicists. For the second year, a medical physics session will be held at NSBP. The primary focus of MPBP05 is to provide an emphasis on the impact of the minority population (african-american and hispanic) in the field of medical physics at the national and international level. Of particular interest, the session has been constructed to include a wealth of information ranging from the role of medical physicists in the health system to the potential job market.
