Speaker: Robert B. Wiringa (Argonne National Laboratory) Title: Dependence of Nuclear Binding on Hadronic Mass Variation Abstract: We have studied how the binding of light (A<=8) nuclei depends on possible variations of hadronic masses, including meson, nucleon, and nucleon-resonance masses. Small variations may have occurred over time, possibly affecting big bang nucleosynthesis. Larger variations are relevant to current attempts to extrapolate properties of NN interactions from lattice QCD calculations.
