Spectrometers

The experiment is proposed for Hall A using the two spectrometers and the cryogenic target. The 4 cm liquid H₂ target would be viewed at the maximum angle of 65 degrees and the angle only changes by a total of 15 degrees for the low Q² point. An Aerogel detector will be used for p/$\pi$ separation. Solid angles would be restricted to about 1.6 msr by software cuts. At each angular setting the spectrometers will be surveyed and also data taken with a carbon target whose position can be very accurately set in order to verify the pointing of the spectrometer.
