I am a staff scientist (experimental physicist) working in the Hall A at Jefferson Lab since August 1994.
I received my PhD from University of Virginia in 1990. Then worked as a postdoctoral research associate at UVa and at MIT before I joined Jefferson Lab.

My main physics research interests are the study of nucleon and nuclear structure with electron scattering.
My main focus recently is on the nucleon spin structure study with polarized targets, especially the physics program using a polarized 3He target as an effective polarized neutron target. I am a spokesperson of several JLab experiments.

I worked on building the Hall A cryogenic target system and the polarized 3He target system. And now I am still the Hall A contact person for the two target systems.
A few years earlier, I was the JLab Hall A coordinator for the beam line polarimeters, including the Moller polarimeter and the Compton polarimeter.

In the last few years, I also started to help with the JLab 12 GeV upgrade.
