Mercedes drivers, please take care! A few moose (bullwinkles, Elche==:-) may cross your driveway on this web site.

Physics

Here are a few experiments I worked for:

Notice that some of the web servers utilize insecure, unreliable Microsoft software. Before you enter any sensitive information you may want to consider a check with Netcraft (just enter the host name, e.g. www.xxx.net). Sites which use the extension .asp, .aspx, .cfm, and .dll in a URL (link) deserve a closer inspection and those using .jsp may also be suspicious. The quality (or lack thereof) of MS software is well documented at TRUSTWORTHYCOMPUTING (BTW that was a phrase used in an MS propaganda campaign). These guidelines are also useful when you do shopping online or have to enter information on your employer's web site, government web sites etc.. Now, if someone is embarrassed because they use this insecure, unreliable MS software, well, so be it. Everybody knows about the rotten MS promises. There is no excuse for putting other people's data at risk. Peace.

  • The longest bar in the world
    • Just kidding... :-) Hey, I grow up a few 100 metres from "The longest bar in the world" in Düsseldorf (or "Duesseldorf" if you will - only a Dussel writes Dusseldorf). I was born in Düsseldorf and later moved very close to the famous Neandertal (amazing to see how much effort some TV speakers put into pronouncing a 'th' where there is no 'th' - in fact speaking German with the tongue between the teeth is considered to be vulgar;-).

Entertainment

After so much work you really deserve some entertainment. Lots of moose, nice pictures of my banana plant with blossom and fruits and more are waiting for you. Enjoy!

Files

I do have some files for download available via FAL and FTP for physics, OpenVMS and NetBSD/OpenBSD. Beside some interesting physics documents you will also find here my NetBSD related patches for more than 175 applications, some other interesting sources like my VMS SMTP server/client system (was initially written for UCX 1.0) and, of course, wonderful pictures of my moose (Elch==:-). Enter now!

A scandal

Unbelieveable, but true: even this web server offers nudity. Just surf through my web pages and you will find other pictures. Perhaps you are also interested in physics.
