GWU Status Report: 10-11-06

There was discussion about why the VT collimator was 21.66 cm (~40 rad lengths), and it was because 21.66 cm was used as a place holder in case Cu-Pb alloy was used. I looked at how much lead was actually needed and compared:
(Note: I used the wrong radiation length for lead (.54 instead of .56) when defining some of these.)

I did two random seeds for each collimator:

Conclusion: The 13.5 radiation length collimator (25 radiations lengths using .54) works just as well. In future simulations I will use 14 cm (25 radiation lengths using .56).

Then I got in a discussion with Juliette about properly defining the angles which define the opening of the collimator, and that part of the status report is combined with the VT status report
